Ecitb scaffs tkt

Perhaps we should set up Private ltd company produce some plastic cards charge people to give them training they dont need and tell every one who is stupid enough to listen dont challenge us we think know it all, give out brown envelopes and duck and dive all questions and not turn up for meetings unless we have the power to sellect who can attend !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
ragscaff talking about combi safe in another topic made me remember a man called barney green , i think he is a director or summit at combi, dont know exactly how he could help out with ecitb stuff and the sccr but he is a big voice the hse listen to, he is the man who brought safety netting in 10 yr ago which is now the industry standard , he will be a major force behind the advanced guardrail thing he specialises in systems to stop people falling from height probably helping combi invent and design and sell edge protection systems .

like i said not sure how exactly he may help you but if you can get him on your side , if he thinks its good ideas you have he will be a good help

have you heard of or come across him at all

it seems that there is a lot of sour people out there how have done the cisrs
course and its not fair blah blah blah.why should i do course and they havent
thats your opinion.if you can prove your work history and get refrences why
shouldnt it be.as for getting ecitb i worked bloody hard to get were iam today
and didnt get card for industrial work ive done over 2 decades in the industrial
sector.you people are so wrong about this ecitb card it ante a story for your
magazine its peoples careers no offence scaffmag.com how can you be a publisher with only 8 years exsperiance.as like the forum its out for the british
scaffold worker and non profit makeing.:mad:
 
you cant agree with both agendas,thats impossible.what you may mean is you can see relevance in the two ideoligies???to say you agree with both sides means you must have more faces than big ben,we dont want a platfom for airing views these guys want accreditation for their toil and sweat not to be put on the scrap heap,and be poked at by people like you scaff.mag to stir up a pointless debate.

its a joke whats happening to the eictb carded chaps,if that aint bad enough you then use them to your editorial amusement,by conducting a platfom which you will use to fill your pages.get real and get on their side,arnt we all scaffs????????????????
 
I would like to ask if any one with a Ecitb card has been told they are paid off at the end of the year once the card has gone.

I understand once they are paid off it will be difficult to get another job. I think the Ecitb has a lot of explaining to do.
 
The problem being the ECITB have washed their hands of the matter & do not want to comment. There you go Scaff Mag get an interview with the CEO of ECITB, he proberbly won't know what a scaffolder is!!

The latest responce s are typical they all seem to close ranks and use the working at hieght regs. If you read the regulation it clearly states COMPETENCE. The NVQ is a method of measuring COMPETENCE not attendance on a training course!!!!!

Why are indiviuals working for aprivate company that is pushing its onwn training product allowwed to have so much influence and allowwed to rake in money off people who are COMPETENT scaffolders? It is total madness. I thought days of kwangos were on the way out but it sems the brown enveolpe is still alive and well

Hi Rumple,
I didnt have to wait till dec to get laid off cause of my ticket, got laid off in march, let me and Dico go and kept Cisrs ticketed scaffs on, saved them having to pay out for training for us, the guys that got kept on had been there less than a year, but according to Nasc the company had to have 90 or 95% of workforce ticketed, by that i mean Cisrs.
Dont get me wrong the company had started to put people thru there tickets, but all a bit late, this is from there south east division, sent the first 4 oldest scaffs on there part 1, 6 months ago, and my mate who i worked with is on his now. have been in contact with the company and when work picks up, they will try and get me back, but will have to be as a labourer. Thats why this s**ks. I think even this big company thought something would be done for us Ecitb lads, so delayed in sending us on it, not that we are happy in the way we have been treated, basically told that our experience counts for nothing and to get in line with the youngsters and spend the next 2 years to obtain my advance and do a portfollio, i had letters addressed personally to me on what a good job we had done on Power Stations in the smooth, efficient and safe way we have scaffolded on outages, counts for nothing. :mad:
 
Well not heard a thing from UNITE about the meeting on Wednesday. So it looks like UNITE is after 1 thing your SUBS every month. They dont give a hoot about any member.. SO WHAT ARE YOU PAYING FOR?

The unions will be marching up and down outside the Tory party conference on your cash.I've been in CEU, AEU and OILC, best one was the last as Jake Molloy was a diamond. Only issue is the oil companies would not recognize it. I cannot see me ever joining one again.

Fuc*ing rude of them, at least acknowledge the email and say your dealing with it or youve forwarded it on to someone else for there attention, didnt reply to Dico's email and hes a member, perhaps we could try Bob.Blackman@Unitetheunion.org hes suppose to be dealing with it now. meeting is on the 7th i thought. But by the sounds of it they arnt listening to the SCCR. Got no balls, half of them at Unite.:evil:
