offshore work??

That's offshore life mate, it's basically like working for an agency until you get a wee slot or core crew. I would definitely recommend it tho!!

Thx for the numbers, i am currently working for cape in the north sea but there messing me around. giving me a P45 instead of any stand by money and having me off work for three weeks at a time not knowing if they got any more work.

There seems to be a lot of work around with all the barges floating around but i am not on a barge yet i'm just bouncing from rig to rig getting P45ed for a feild break. Fingers crossed i get a slot on a barge but most the lads up here are talking about that Sulimvoe job.

Alrite lads has anybody got an email address and contact number for hertel to see if they have any offshore work ongoing or coming up

I think you will find Salamis have that contract, they have had that contract now for 2 years with 3 years left to run.

now then lads. i cant see this north sea boom this year, with the chopper problems there got now. i hope i am wrong. is any one else having problems with choppers?

North Sea scaff. The boom will most defo happen. You think the chopper companies want to be sitting on the sidelines not making money, they will get up and running asap and when they do the back log of work will be huge. You will also have the planned shut downs and the up manning for the nelson and sheerwater. Don't forget men will be abandoning the North Sea for sullom voe. So there will be plenty of jobs.....
