offshore work??

Orite guys been offshore for the last nine months with stork got down manned there as it the quiet time just keep phoning all the companies every week or so. Doesn't help that all the super pumas are grounded with the gearbox problem
 
Thats a shame with the supers specially if your waiting to come home.

Was not being Facetious in that statement as have experienced Foghorn blaring, name on next chopper,Backlog of guys, but agreeing to being Billy Pughed to Supply Boat and spending 18 hours of down time before arriving in Aberdeen Harbour (Set berth time) then finding out all backlog beat us to the beach by 12 hrs.

Alrite lads hows it going? looking for any help on getting a start off shore , i understand that a lot of yous will be in the same situation. If i hear anything that will be any use to anybody i will post asap

do you have any contacts for holland the training thing im doing is running a wee bit too slow and im just looking for a wee something to keep the wolves away till christmas etc.
i know theres a few agencies that deal with the work but its been that long the numbers and companies are all different

Herd that the safe Bristolie accomodatoin barge will be in the Total Elgin and Fraklin feild at the start of may for 6 months this may be one of Capes Jobs due to start in the new year

You'll be toiling mate even advanced guys find it difficult getting out with no previous offshore experience it's nasty. So if u haven't already done your survival I wouldn't bother till you got at least your basic card. Hate to burst your bubble mate, r u still in the gannet? That's a good number in there. Was in there few years ago with DSL think Cape got it now? DSL are jus about 2 shift into Grangemouth they takin over Hertel. Get your C.V in its blue book. Good luck buddy

At least £1300 mate. Thats the cheapest i have heard. That includes M.I.S.T and madical.
 
supposedly theres deals as low as £750,£850 for everything, getting the first trip is key , if u know someone then go for it , if not it will be difficult
 
I done all mine off my own back and it took over 2 years to get my first trip, and i rang, emailed companies every day. If your up for the constant let downs then do it. Its good when you finally succeed.
