offshore work??

Huge maintenance project on the Nelson and the Sheerwater come march. I don't know about sullom voe mate, I've only ever worked offshore. Cape have just advertised for over 100 scaffs on their website tho so that's worth a look.
 
Trying to do a bit of research on offshore work, found this:

Anyone know if they're good to work for? Also what would the rates of pay be? Need to find out if its worth shelling out for survival etc.
 
read on the cape website that experience is mandatory for the jobs.....gutted

Never goin to get the experience if nobody is willing to give us the chance.

I was talking to a girl from Stork the other day Dannyboy.
and there is a job starting in March willing to start green Horns.
Keep your chin up pal and get your CV in, following up with regular phone calls.

Try asking about the job in March.
 
I spoke to them on monday and i was told there was a man up in march for a few jobs.
Its just when i seen this on facebook i thought it was the start of guys with no experience maybe getting a chance with the big companys to get out there and show there keen and get the experience they need.

Surely a lot of the guys out there the now were once in the same spot as a lot of us.

I will keep trying my luck and hopefully it changes

quick question lads if you were to lie and say you had been offshore before and you got a start would there be a problem when you come to get in the chopper should you have a pass or something
 
In most cases you would be on the vantage system, you wouldn't have to explain where you have been not to be on the system.

what if you said you had been in norwegian waters would u still be on the vantige system
 
I think your CV will speak for itself regardless of wheater you have been ofshore or not.
I personaly dont think it would help your case if you where to lie.
 
That's why I said holland or Africa. No vantage system over there and it gets you over the "no rig experience" hump!!

Don't try and ******** the girls in the office tho, hey can be spiteful bitches lol

ye i have norwegian BOSIT I only ask because i phoned stork and they thought i had been off before because on my cv it says i worked on the buzzard witch i did but that was onshore when it was geting built n when i explained that to her she seemed to switch off lol

no i have never been off yet i done the norwegian because every 1 i no out ther said do it lol
