Part 1 no experience!

Might have work at the end of feb but would like a job ASAP if anybody's willing to set me on I can guarantee that they will get an apple as a thankyou gift!
 
Now yousa scaff wass1,(congrats by the way}you should start joining in on the other issues. What do you think of these leaners??
Also as a forum member,when you like or agree with someones point of view,theres a little thanks button you should gain a few mates on here lol. Oh,and none of my comments were personal,just...comments:smile1:
 
I don't doubt for one minute you can graft , but what you haven't got a scooby about is scaff politics . in particular the hierarchy of a scaffold squad , and its got fook all to do with what tickets you have its about earning respect from your peers . you start off as a labourer work your way up to improver then fixer and eventually if you're good enough leading hand . Already you have ideas above your station , one step above the labourer ! me thinks the 18 stone gorilla who has spent 10yrs on the rope will have something to say about that :bigsmile:

I don't want to comment on issues like " have you seen the size of my wrench" yet, I'm just a learner. My comments were not sarcastic mate :)
 
Wass I think you will do ok,you can do the banter,now all you got to do is learn how it all works,and the lads are rite nothing can prepare you for being stuck half way up a tower block chaining gear all day.

What a sad state of affairs,kind of reminds me of xfactor."I can sing so why bother learning the trade etc.ill just buy myself a recording contract"how insulting,and how typical of the youth of today,to think you deserve a job because you have a ticket.work from the bottom and in a years time you may be able to tell a double from a mars bar.people are going to expect a bit of knowledge,I fear you won't get taken seriously.keeps u in shape?you fact ****.anyway jog on and pump me up those 50 long.you think u know hard graft?do one frankie cocoza

think your been really harsh there pugwash an a total d ick! all this lad is doing is trying to get a foot on the ladder an to prove himself! for sum1 to pay his own way thru his part1 course proves he keen an highly motivated to get into this trade, he just needs a helping hand to start to be shown the ropes! an thats all hes asking! bet he grafts twice as much as most scaffs around who think jus turning up to work makes them deserve thier weekly wage!! 70% scaffs are lazy b astards! anyway wass, take it all on the chin mate i wish you all the best!
 
It's boring now lads, I've never said I know it all once. I'm a hard worker who's willing to learn but I've upset some keyboard warriors down the line!
 
Seriously this is the worst our industry has been for a long time,I had a phone call today of a lad who I have worked with on and off for 20 yr ,I was amazed that a a hand as good as this could be out off work,these really are bad times.

Cheers mate, I bet the majority on here who've had a go at me have never done a hard days work in their lives. Finally someone who as got some sense

I'm starting to realise that, rang every scaffold firm in the yellow pages and they all said the same ha.
 
My God u truly are in for such a shock.I see McDonald's is hiring .my be an option for u to consider when it all goes tits up
 
well said tom55 , l know a m8 who just started with turners hes a part 2 15 years , workin for £7.79 an hour , ITS NOT RIGHT
