I understand that in today's economic climate cash flow can often be a problem, but why didn't RHL front the money as any decent company would?

Would they have been paid if they were not sharing their plight with this forum?

I have in the past had people working for me and had to pay them before I get paid and so does almost every scaffolding company out there.

Good afternoon Swifty

1. RHL failed to pay Slav and the 2 other guys on this site on time .....
(now paid and we are sorry it took so long)

2. again yes we failed to pay on time (we are sorry for this and has now been done)

3. I did not blame a colleague for this situation I simply came on the forum on behalf of a colleague to try and explain the situation. (which then turned around that it was all my fault)

4. I was not the person which made the decision to not pay Slav and the other two guys also I am not my colleagues boss (where in the world have you got I am the director of RHL from .... have a look on risk disk !)

5. We will offer work where we have it and if admin wish to copy our adverts from Direct Gov which is out of our control.

Any financial decision is made by the directors of RHL all of us in the office work from rules made out by our director. None of us apart from the directors are able to pay or not pay anyone which is their choice not ours.

Yes Slav, Darius and Tim would have been paid no matter what, but unfortunatly it was out of our control when!

Also the whole time that Slav & Darius were unfortunatly waiting to be paid he was employed direct by the company in question. As we found out due to him being on their christmas shift pattern sent over to us plus information gained from an unrelated source.

So all in all the reason they were not paying us is because they were already paying them direct straight after they finished for us!!!

well mr director dorect nik is in the wrong with what he done his stupid remarks stop his wages see how he feels now **** off go and get some work pay the men and get some repertation back and morals instead of trying to justify your **** up that might help you/ but i still dont like agencys just my choice you are good for some and not so good for others, now put it to bed...........................................................................its doing my ******* head in now

but it did happen and it was not the lads fault? jb is right you should pay the lad, im sure what you have been paid off the firm in the past or profited from the man would cover it maybe? its the lads that lose out every time, what does the agency lose-its profit
 
Just a thought but What would be the situation if the Agency DIDN'T get paid but got knocked by the scaffold firm would the lads get paid at all ? :wondering:
 
I see that Nik has now also had his account deleted, but I know he'll still be reading this so I thought I might make a few points here.

I know Slav & his brother personally - I have worked with them both on the spanners and they have also worked under me as their contracts manager. They're both decent blokes and they don't tell lies (Ok, well Slav doesn't!)

RHL came onto this forum to defend themselves once the initial post was made. It became apparent that they knew well in advance that no money would be available to pay these guys. They chose not to do the decent thing and contact everyone corncerned - explain the predicament that they were in (cash flow and a maxed out overdraft by the sounds of it) Instead they rolled out a thousand excuses and the old 'It's ok because they'll get paid eventually' chesnut.

That's the first reason that so many forum members voiced concern about the behaviour of RHL.

The second reason is truly arrogant and alloof attitude of Nik Cusden. Making statements like "enjoy unemployement guys" is not only a completely wankerish thing to say, but it also says a lot about the character of this individual and his attitude to the lads he hawk's business from. He has made several of these odious comments on this forum.

The third reason is that RHL have made absolutely no contribution to this forum apart from attempting to gain free advertising. I understand that they were contacted (correct me if I'm wrong, Admin) some time ago about becoming forum sponsors and putting something back into this online community, but no - They have just used and abused for their own gain.

The last point I would like to make is that Slav had the decency to thank all the forum members who had given him support and offered to donate £100 of his wages to charity when he finally received his money - I believe he donated the money to the poppy appeal. In his post he urged RHL to match his charitable contribution as a gesture of goodwill. I watched with interest to see whether they had a shred of decency, but RHL 'went silent' for a few weeks -

But it certainly didn't go unnoticed by me.....

Well i worked for Robert Hurst at xmas and they wouldnt put us to work till they had a credit check on the scaffolding company,that was so if Robert Hurst got knocked by the scaffolding company they still had to pay us.We was to get paid on the Friday and on the Friday the money was in the bank.I was paid on time and in full.I know that working for an agency can be dodgy but i do know if i wasnt paid after working for two weeks i wouldnt go back at all and who would in the right mind.
