It reminds me of a story that I got told when I was a young labourer,back in the 80's... One of the old boys was on the bottom of the rope and the young lads decided to tie 5 boards on and kick them off the 6th lift. Stupid fool on the bottom didn't let go of the rope and shot up stopping about 2ft from the wheel. They had to pull him onto the scaffold. I don't know if it was true but I heard it from everyone on the firm.
