A square clip as opposed to a whaleback,always use two singles on a transom,like paddy says,bolt on the inside of the ledger,helps pull the transom down,even when using hockey sticks i would still clip the inside,even using two clips you still come across loose trannies when stripping jobs,so just using one would increase the chances of an incident by 50% imo
