Layher state that their materials shouldn't be mixed with any other manufacturer's modular system components. Your actions null & voids the Layher product indemnity insurance. Reckless actions & for what?? To make a bit more money?.......if an accident occurs the manufacturer ( Layher) will not cover their products.......I am sure your clients will be thrilled if they knew & understood the ramifications of your actions?
 
But what's the designers input on all this, I am noticing that they are hiding behind the sea sea wall in the USA at the minute.

same here pal, til I arrived here, they make it go everywhere, a lot simpler to use than tube, as not much measuring to do, and once based out you can stick your level back in the wagon, for hangers iys very versatile, only drawback is you need a lot of different lengths to make it truly versatile, i do use it when i can be arsed, but it bores me a bit, I stick with the tube, which is all Ali out here... im in heaven..lol

Dont get your point though mate ??? so your allowed 12 " from node points with tube, system you dont have to bother as all nodes connect to the rossette..
 
clamp on rosettes for in between the 500mm centres
Adjustable decks,ledgers

Adjustable rosettes can be fitted on ledgers/standards wherever you want to install them, yes to the millimetre..........next question Red card?:D
 
I think wummer is trying to say that all node points are accounted for cassie.

If you wanted to mix system..ie. cuplock with Layher, you would need to come off, say the cuplock standard with a Layher ledger, then just carry on with Layher... you would connect the layher ledger to the cuplock standard with a double..

I built a tarped in room for the fitters and put a swinging door with a handle last week, all out of layher, I prefer tube, but you can do a lot of stuff with system lads

Cassis, you do not have to work exactly to the millimetre with T&F. As long as you make your connection within 300mm of the KP no probs! I.e. oh, my standard falls on the edge of that drain........move it!! ( you can't do that with system.........you have to work out the job exactly before turning up on site!)

I think the main problem Cassie is when you mix differing copies of the same system.
