Has anyone got a picture of a mills single ?
I heard they are good for bay splays .
 
the mills fitting is excellent for splays but always remember to lock your splay underneath with load bearers the boards drop in just fine if you open your centres up
 
How's it any different from using singles?

I think you are getting confused with mills doubles.

They are good for splays.
 
Is it not cause the hook part off the fittings spins 360 degrees so u can use it on your transom and any angle unlike your normal single
 
because on the splay phil as you will know the ledgers are one inside the splay one out and then you have to notch the board on the bolt of the single with the mills you can tread the board in for a tight fit no notched boards that's all we ever used on the oil tanks and they work a treat

I believe hswt they are outlawed and have bn for a while

ThTs a pic of a single which were commonly used as a toe brd clip - i think your on about using doubles which sit tight up together with no height differnce unlike normal doubles & as load bearing no need for checks eth the speed thread was a bonus as well but tbh i havent come accross many of em since i was on GKN in the early 90s

Yeah I know that mate - he asked for a picture of a mills clip, which a lot of people called a 'winkle'.

They also used them on transoms and ran a transom on doubles over each set of standards.

If you read my third post I suggested that he was getting confused with the doubles - which are ok on splays.
