im the same mate 20years with sgb all over the place,had the pleasure to meet and work with some of the best,could eulogise all day about them.to this day like yourself i have the upmost respectfor my peers in scaffolding who i owe very much.

Roy middleton from chester le street is about 80yrs old and is still putting up back an fronts 5 days a week he has 2 pick ups and 2 or 3 younger lads working with him, he reguarly gets peed off with them and sends them home an finishes jobs himself :laugh:

reguarly you hear people talking about him an how he out performs the youngsters, he is a legend around here , one of them people who you can instantly name from the vaguest of descriptions

a few of my mates who work offshore do a bit for roy on their leave and have told me he still grafts well at 80 . he also hates using the extra tube for double handrail . scaffoldings his life and when he stops he will be fucked
