When i want to extend a pipe and put on to my collar clip, I ,call it a ....:idea:bong
 
I once worked with a guy who asked me if: 'I can bang a lump up in the rear', or something...

He had a good dress sense though, - Leather chaps and leather waistcoat, with a dog collar and a plastic pink cowboy hat.
Not really the type of stuff id wear on a building site, - On a weekend maybe, but not on a site. :p
 
Australian translation for Scaffolding terminology:

Scarf (as in whats left over on a standard, ready to be hemped) = Fibber-snibbet.
Needle (as in whats overhanging or added for a fan or cantilever)= Wazza-wozza
Horn = (as in whats sticking out off your trannies/ledgers) = Poonie-hoonie-pipsal-poppsal.


I got that straight from Goooooogle translator, i swears itz i does, lol.
(stuff in the brackets are for the benefit of non-Scaffolders or anyone from Middlesboro) - Sorry Teesside, lol. :laugh:
