Safety & Access Ltd now offering Team Leader Training Programme

I suppose that was true many years ago on small housing sites and maybe there are still a few like that left. On major construction projects worldwide a degree or equivalent is a requirement.
I do remember the old chippies and groundworkers who came off the tools and became site agents.

Maybe, but the senior guy is usually a former site man with his university graduate as a lackey.

Glad you enjoyed it.

Does that not kind of back up what I have been saying all along though? University guys running the sites means less room for a trades background.

You started it, to be honest I could supervise any trade or business, even scaffolding.

To be honest.. its clear you know very little about scaffolding mate.. u would get run ragged.. ie. how would you knnow how long a job takes and if everything done to standards etc.. answer is to be a scaff supv you need the knowledge mate...

Like what? Does a supervisor need an advanced card to read a tool box talk, fill in the RAMS and count the hours? What about ordering material or ensuring the right labour is available? Anyone could do it.

So anyone with SMSTS could look at a job and order the correct materials? This is the same sort of people who had to copy parts of my work and could not even put a site plan/ layout together on the SMSTS. Haha OK!
