puncheon double fitting

Upside down unless you are a complete donut and want to kill some unsuspecting trainee, I even put checks on droppers upside down as it acts as a handle when erecting and striking, especially handy when using long under a bridge with limited headroom.

It doesnt matter which way bolt up or bolt down it wont cause any structural weekness. It is far far easier to hang a dropper from the gate, as it is far far easier to punch up using the gate on the ledger. Working with scaffs from all over the UK offshore and overseas for more years than I can remember. I have to say, I have never seen, erected or stripped a hanger with the bolts facing up from the top droppers or seen puncheons with bolts on the top.
