offshore work??

Wots the crack pal u on stand by money? Should be half rig rate if u are mate.

Yes mate, 45 days standby unless they find us something, 150 scaffs meant to be put on notice this week so I can't see it

I've been put back to recruitment from today so I'm guessing I'll get this 45 day notice once my 2 off is up??

Hey up lads.im guessing it's not werth me doing my survial then?.. Seem like there's a lot of hardship getting a start on the rigs?

Do your survival as it lasts 4 years but you'll probably struggle to get a shout until next spring.

The £70 or £ 75 a day for being fogged on must be for your asset or the client must have agreed that OCA agreement as I know none of my guys get it. Also not all companies work to OCA agreement they just take bits from it that suits them.

Cape at moment but been offshore a few years and I know they just take whatever suits out of the OCA also client dictates who gets what not Salamis Cape or RBG or Stork now as they call them

damo no you dont onced your trip is up m8 and you get kept on for any reason u get 70 pounds a day

Iv only ever got it when got off late.they reakon if u get another days miney u dont qualify.but i will be checkin it up now mate cos that f#####g fog follows me round the north sea (lol)

Yeah mate when I was goin up thru that scatsta it was pretty bad like. The focal points need to put it on the timesheet or the beach don't always pick it up, u know wot there like robbin b@stards. Av been pretty lucky av always had it when it's been due but I know lads that hadn't even heard of it! Get in2 them lads it's an entitlement not a f.uckin bonus. Bad enough been stuck on imo

As long as you go back to your work you're entitled to your £70, that's what the agreement says, think that's where guys are maybe getting ****** for it. And as for companies hand picking what they want from the agreement, as far as I was aware every company that takes on direct labour offshore had to adhere to it, maybe I'm wrong.

So as posted by rick

hello mate you have to keep calling the firms weekly and just keep trying just finished off shore for stork my PHONE EVERY WEEK FOR AS LONG AS IT TAKES it can take months good luck

Quick question, would an advanced inspection ticket be worth having offshore? Both platforms I've been in this year the focal points have tagged the scaffolds so just wondered if it would be worth having or not.

Every installation I been on in the North Sea it's always the focal points/ foreman that tag the jobs it's the only time u get the f.uckers out the chair. Would certainly look good on your C.V though mick and may come in handy in the near future.

Exactly what I thought rick, can only be a positive thing to have

An advanced card is enough to do 7 day inspections offshore but it certainly would do no harm to have it although it`s another ticket to be refreshed.
