20 yrs ago there was no safety,today we all work in a safe environment,if the task is not safe to approach we don't do it,you approached it in the wrong way and put yourself in danger...Now as I said before go back to the basic,s ...Or better still go buy yourself a pair of trainers and turn up for work Monday morning wearing them...tell the safety officer you want to wear them cos your mate wore them 20 yrs ago when he was scaffolding

but then again im a RANGERS supporter and i havent really got too much to laugh about this weather.
I DO HAVE A QUESTION REGARDING THE PHOTO,I COULDNT CARE LESS ABOUT THE DROPPER SCENARIO,WE HAVE ALL DONE IT BUT YOU SHOULDNT REALLY BE USING MOBILES ON A REFINERY SOURCE OF IGNITION AND ALL THAT. ;)

Well said,unless there explosive free,the only people allowed carry phones on a chemical site is senior management..

Yeah, you and I both but maybe there was a site specific risk assessment done and the ban was lifted for that site. Did anyone ask the man?;)

Yes I was safety advisor at Linsey oil refinery, sounds like we were robbed because we weren't supplied them
