Falling fitting's !!!!

What are we going to have to do to stop them falling, tie a lanyard on each one before we undo them?

anything is at risk from being dropped from a height!!! fittings, tube, spanner you name it.... safety measures would be... tool box talk.... discuss the hazards... are the personnel competent and trained... good housekeeping... good handling and storage of material whilst erecting or dismantling ( common sense, if one has it ) more so than most, experienced men or women with good knowledge of their job in hand... but **** does fall.... have barriers in place below, if possible....

Theres always going to be the risk of falling objects. Ensure you barrier off your work area, make sure that your scaffolders have plenty of fitting bags and that they don't leave fittings on lifts

when a traffic warden's below the job i think all types of doubles fall equally as much as the others ;)

To all scaffolders out there, we are conducting a survey to find out which scaffolding fitting is most at risk of falling or being dropped inadvertantly whilst erecting or dismantling scaffolding, especialy dismantling ? . Our aim is to identify this risk, and to put measures in place to reduce the risk. We would be very grateful to recieve your conclusions and welcome each response.

Who do represent and what will you do with the data? There's no single fitting that is 'dropped' any more than any other. Being brutally honest, it seems a bit of a pointless task.

Of course any fitting can be dropped but what about when you get a sleeve that sticks to the hemp and you think it will stay then before you know it its gone.
Ive been lucky a few times!!

I witnessed a bloke working for DSL save the sleeve and drop the hemp 10 lifts.

A big round of applause for SG4:10.

If a sites run properly, there shouldnt be anyone working below scaffs, erecting or striking.IMO.Thats the point of a rams.

You still get them running under the barriers no matter what you do. Most of the offenders don't speak English.
