Interviews went ok but tiring flying round the country to the major cities.
Just to let you know the steps involved here if a scaffolder wants a start on a major project.
1. Applicant puts in an ROI (Registration of Interest) which includes his qualifications, work history and references.
2. References are checked.
3. Applicant invited to attend a 45 minute interview.
4. If successful at interview applicant will then have to do a VOC (Verification of Competency) Thats the trade test!!
5. Then pass the medical.
6. Then pass through the projects procedures and tests.
7. Once thats all done he can get on a plane, get inducted and then start work!!
All this can take a month and is fairly expensive so need to weed out unsuitable people at the earliest stage.
