What hourly rates do you think are acceptable for your pay grade ??(be honest and realistic) and state Your ticket if you don't mind !!
What do you think ? The rates should be ?
 
Shouldnt it be on what you do if you put up loads you should get paid a good rate if your slow your money should resect that.
Too many people out there want good money for doing jack all, DONT YOU THINK?
 
It depends where you are working etc',also it don't mean that because you have an advanced/part 2 etc' that your worth anymore than the people you are grafting with.(not personal)
 
Just cuz we got to put up with so much sh*t we should all be on a min of 150 a day!
 
I just come back from powerstations in whales and gone back on the streets for ltc! Wot about you m8?
 
Advanced £15ph
Basic £13.50ph
Trainee £11.50ph (depending on experience/ability)

IMO these are fair and realistic rates as a minimum with regional adjustments and site bonuses/incentives to be added.

Also agree with previous posts too many Hollywood Scaffs expecting a days money just for putting their belt on !
 
give me a job. £ 15 an hour theres so many advanced scaffolders out there who cant do a days work mate.
should be on wat ya can do mate. Ive had lads who have worked here take the mick so many times dont do the work and dont know wat there doing, though still want big bucks for doing nothing than sit in the cab all day trying to look clever reading the sun paper.
Should be on wat you can produce every day.
I would pay more than £15 hour for the right men, there not out there also had a lad to help him out with the csa because he was going to leave gave him shears in the company great earner for him as soon as we did this we had to put his jobs right and then found out he was selling the gear.
MMMMM if a mans worth his money you pay for wat he can do not what he thinks hes worth.
 
Rates

For what we do I think we work the hardest than all of the trades. We give access for every other trade to be able to do there work. Scaffolding was the highest paid trade years ago but the money has stayed the same and every other trade has gone up. So if gas fitters / plumbers, electricians get £15-£35/hour i think the rates should be as a min

Advanced £20
Part2 £ 15
Lab. £ 10
Trainee. £ 8

And only people who hold the relevant cards should inspect scaffolds with min 10 year experience. Not people doing a 2 day course who just look for handrails and toe boards missing.

I hold an advanced card
civil engineer
Scaffold design engineer
Scaffolding on the tools 21 years
 
I think at the min all firms are trying there luck on pay
I've seen some right piss takers on here...
I'd want at lease 15hr but the way it is think most pll are pissin in the wind
I must admit I'd stay on a blue book site for abit just till things pick up

hollywood scaffolders lol!!! if you cant smell your joop aftershave after a days graft then youve worked. if you still smell of joop. after your shift then youve tossed it off:laugh::laugh:

You'd be surprised mate, same blokes who hate wearing a hard hat because they spent an hour this morning getting their hair juuust right :laugh:

I think pay should be dependant on location and type of work.

Just because you're a hard grafter doesn't mean you should get more. I've worked beside guys who work hard and fast but their jobs look rough as feck. I'd rather have the gaffer on my back and put a good job up than be pulled up later on for cutting corners and leaving a ****** job.

Neat jobs win you further work which justifies you asking for more money :blink1:
 
yeah and most bosses i've met it doesnt matter that your quick can do the work they still try and screw you cos they cant see past their own noses!

I just left Pembroke wot a mistake! Lol seemed like a good thing to do but it wasn't lol money is sh*t back on the streets! But I don't mind being back on the beer down here! Who you on for up there?
