WANTED: Casual Work In-between Offshore

Ha ha well said mq Scaff you get out of bed and turn so you deserve to earn it good luck.
 
As he explains when he comes off his P45 is waiting for him ,so he has no idea if and when he will go back to work .
He is left with no choice but to find work
 
When you work for a company offshore & they pay you off you get payed 40hrs notice, This guy would be on a very good deal if this happened every trip???? I've worked offshore for over 20-years & this only happened in the pasted, Make as much as you can but do this on the job your on, Don't take a job from some who needs it that don't have a job!!!!!
 
So its official then, he's a greedy fu#cker
 
If you're a half decent spanner hand you wouldn't need to beg for work ............just saying !.

I cant see that written in the Offshore Contractors Agreement.
How much time in do you need to get your 40hrs.

or would i be putting a good mechanic on the dole ?
 
Missing my point , what you do in or outside scaffoldiing or how much money you make is your business , if you were any good and had earned a reputation in the industry you'd get offers of casual work on your down time without having to make a **** of yourself :)

He is the biggest badest scaffolder in all the shire , he works 7 x 12 hour shifts without as a much as a cup of tea , only does hangers as anything less complicated is beneath him.
 
If you are on the books for any company & they pay you off you get this with everyone, If you are new to the game you need to get ahead & that don't mean give it!!!!
 
They sent me a letter after a week of leave, basically telling me in 7 days time your getting a P45. Thats a weeks notice. Thats all they a,re legally bound to give.
like i say get me something solid from the OCA to back up your storry.

They can only pay you off after you have had all money payed to you, Then your 7-days notice works in 40 hrs 1/2 rigrate, If this happens you need to say sorry but I'm still on pay, you are only entitled to stand-by after you have had the same time off as worked, they pay you stand-by or the 40-hrs.

Thats a bit harsh. There has been advice given on most pages. Might not have been the advice you wanted but nevertheless still advice.
