shetlands

Been told they paying £7 part 1, £10 basic, £13 advanced. Anyone know if thats right or not?

if anyone thinks 13pound is good for advanced scaffolder, you need to go start another trade mate.thats the trouble with our industry now, guys willing to work for **** all thats why our rates are going down, but also with great help from the pollish *******.

All agree a satisfactory rate and no one go there for less. Tell all the recruiters that is the rate you want. They will eventually have to up the rate. Of course if men break the agreement just to get a job then they will keep giving low rates.
Its about time you lot showed some solidarity and stuck together. Bring back some power to the worker.

Unfortunately there are that many trying to get to Shetland they can name whatever rate they like , my advice is hold off it`s a **** hole and the North Sea will be booming come March . Hopefully the OCA agreement will hold and we don`t get the usual undercutters .

bis solamis got some work there there will be every scaff in the uk tryin get on there reckon only chance is to know a supervisor on there

How has the rates been made at 10er an hour basic and 13 an hour advanced did that come from someone who's on the job don't think anyone would go up there for a 10 er an hour.

Shetland is braced for a new invasion of oil workers as a 213-room floating hotel arrived at Lerwick.
The Bibby Stockholm, a massive accommodation barge, will house hundreds of workers employed by multinational oil field services firm Petrofac as they build the £500million gas plant at Sullom Voe for French oil giant Total.
The vessel can take up to 550 guests and Shetland Islands Council convener Malcolm Bell believes the influx of workers will be good for the islands.
