1/ Scaff Step
- SCCR to produce a report on Incedents & Accidents with the Scaff Step
- Main concern long term use on the body
- Need to be a three handed gang to use correctly
2/ General Compliance
- Employers responsibility to plan & undertake appropriate risk assessments
- More understanding of the actual legislation as opposed to guidelines
- Scaffolding sectors
3/ Construction Companies
- Need more understanding on legislation
- Allowing scaffolding companies to take ownership
- Not to go overboard with incorrect PPE
- Unauthorised adaptions to be stamped out
- RIDDOR changes under review
4/ Scaffolding Sectors
- The SCCR want to promote the industry as four sectors, Domestic, Industrial, Specialist & Offshore.
- Key skills need to be looked at in each sector
- Guidelines need to be developed for each sector
5/ Training
- CISRS not based on enough site experience
- ECITB needs to have key skills assessment
- Training to be specific to the four industry sectors
6/ Working with the HSE
- The SCCR has & will be attending WWT events around the country
- The SCCR is to organise current best practice days with the HSE round the country
- The SCCR is working on industry sector guidelines
- The SCCR is to develop its Elite membership 2012/13
