Ah the beloved J-Bolt brings back memories!! Swinging about on a beam trying to put round the purlin and push up through a hole which the c*** above had drilled too far away while he trod on your fingers!!

Yes mate it's law when doing temporary roof's that as soon as you start sheeting out, it starts blowing a fuc**ng hurricane and pissing down with rain.

from j bolts we got them sheeting clips the ones that catch the top and bottom of a tin , purlin strays a bit and the f ******* thing wont go on i hated them , god bless the crinklie clip what an awesome idea they where :)

Worked for Masters in London when they invented the crinklie. Great fitting simples yes!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
almost worked for Masters once a good while back but never did , always heard good things about them :)
 
To be honest I am **** with names, was there about 5-6 weeks. But at the time they started to use it. Did Godstone Post Office Depot!!

Yeh they were very good but donwturn on the start of my six month jumping spree last in first out!!!

Terry told me that he was working on a temporary roof with the owner of Masters back in the early 90's.
Anyway he got the right hump with the J-Bolts and stormed off. Nobody saw him for a couple of days and he came back with a design for the crinklie fitting.

Or at least that's the story I can remember!
 
Yeh two partners , the story was one invented it got loads of noughts for the design + 10p a fitting for two years!! Thats what we were told :amuse:

Globe heard they were a good firm, ended up at a one man band Ewell Scaffolding. The owner was a great guy. Then when that went tits up I ended up as a Cornish Pastie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D:evil:

so its true then the wriggly story ??? Heard that the patents were sold to Boulton who developed it , masters turquoise tube black trucks and sold up a few years ago ???
 
Yeh black lorries silver writting!! More than 6/7 figures from boulton & 10p a fitting. Shame they have gone. Had a great 7.5 ton lorry with the axle up graded to 10 ton, great to work off!!! :bigsmile:
 
great for rear end overload you mean ????????????? Have a 7.5 ton eurocargo she looks fine with 6 ton on the back !

Had a 3.5 ton iveco daily pulled last month went 6.2 ton on the weigh bridge
