hi there,

im posting here as it seems the logical thing to do.
i am looking at a career change. im only young and fancy something different.
i want to know is there anybody out there around the blackpool ,wigan area who is looking to take on a new starter.

please could you comment or leave advice please

Hello and welcome to the forum luke.
Have you ever tried to ring one of the local firms such as 'Brands', ect ?
Just explain your career ambitions and even if there are no postings, at least one of the firms can put you on track regarding trainee vacancies/courses elsewhere.

Good luck in your chosen career, not many dull moments in THIS game.;)

Yep, it is. Especially when you're fresh faced. If you really are... mad... enough to want to scaffold find out where some local yards are and get down there to nag for a job. Plead that you'll turn up every morning on time and are willing. Expect to get turned away so don't let it get your hopes down. Keep trying round as many firms as you can. Good luck!
 
my m8s father in law has a firm in that area blackpool i think bud send us ur details and ill ask the ? for you but understand this is no game for a boy its a fukking killer ok and ull wanna jack it but stick with it and ull make friends for life and have 1 of the best cracks around best of luck kid

As your young Luke, you can travel the world and still scaffold mate.

Hi,
A good choice for a proper mans job with good earnings if you can travel around from time to time. your destination is world wide, with a fair bit of experience you can do well, on shore off shore different cuntries, unfortunetly it wont come easy or quick in todays world, im not sure if you know anything about scaffolding as yet if ya do then your on the way up, but if not......next time you see the lads erectin sit and watch have a coffee or a fag and watch ....from start to finish if poss, doing that youll get to know whats what and what goes where.....watch differant lads on different jobs you will soon cotton on, when they have a fag break or a fry up, or in the good old days a couple of pints have a chat to them and just pick up tips. happy huntin
 
A novel way of learning the trade that just may work if you have the time, nice one.
 
ive still had no luck yet lads, has anybody heard of any jobs in the blackpool lancashire area ,please if anyone could help much appreciated
