Scaffolders Wanted - Milton Keynes

Lol lol if it wasn't for me your job wouldn't of got done.. I was the only one who could read a drawing!!!!... It's easy if u no there's 2 week tell the Scaffs ... Don't forget if it wasn't for US you wouldn't earn Anything :)

Mac is it?

Ha ha... Or turn up to the job in the morning and then told there's no work!!!!!

Who are you Kent Scaff? More often than not there is a reason people/scaffolders dont last the whole job.

Usually they are the ones that dont show up on a Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday or are just generally not very good.

Fook me that's ironic coming from the shower of ***** that is RHL!

The trouble is they have gone to an agency with no experience of london, and ended up with a crap rate. Its not like newcastle where people will work for crap money, you need to go and find out what the going rate is down here and charge accordingly, especially if your losing an hour a day for your breaks.

Gunslinger if you read the posts Vital have said a couple of times that its the client who sets their rates not themselves.
However it is good to see the likes of RHL sticking up for their fellow agencies which is more than they do for the scaffs I have heard.

How is it going Vital? Are you near to completing your recruitment target yet? With your obvious expertise in the labour market do you think your client is likely to up the rate again?

Why go to agency 250 miles away from the job? Agencies and scaffold companies in newcastle pay derisory rates. Harsco have basically said to themselves " we know no decent scaff down south will work for £14 ph, so we'll go to an agency in newcastle and get the daft northerners to do it". If vital had any nounce they'd be asking why too, instead of trotting out the old, "thats all the client will pay nonesense"!

Havespannerwilltravel - With regards to the Tata Steel, Scunthorpe we seem to be getting on really good, but obviously with the numbers there is still loads of spaces. With regards to the Bedford job we knew before we start this would be hard due to location and rates. The honest answer on that one is I don’t know if they will up the rates and we can only hope they will as this is not an easy fill.

But I like being incompetent and taking days off

Wouldn't they be better off paying southerners 28 quid per hour? Then they would only need half the men as everyone knows southerners work twice as hard as northerners.:p
