If only you were GKN (Mills) I would jump ship straight away...you are using an iconic name in this industry but ..alas...it's sounds like your are hanging on to "shirt tails" to bad.

Oh the memories...think I will have a ham shank :)

Hi Bob

Slight misunderstanding GKNKwikform (Mills) is a nick name only used due to fond memories working for the company a long long time ago

But agree with your sentiments.

Hi Bud, Hammersmith branch (1973) started with my dads mate Paddy Breen, great firm, great bunch of lads. I am back on the tools and loving it. What have you got going...

Cheers, Bob (not an aussie just a nick name after spending 15 years out there)

Hi Bob, Bradford branch 1964 brilliant memories

Hi GM, Top firm was GKN Mills, then GKN Kwikform from 1973 to 1982 went over to NZ on an oil refinery new build. On returning supplied labour to GKN for a further 4 years.

Miss their fittings that most lads hated, had a few lads working for me that point blank refused to use mills fittings, good scaffs as well, in the end had to let them go as most of my work was with mills.

Great days, full of charerters and laughter. Not like today, sad to say.

Nice memories Bob, great when you can look back and remember all the good times, funny though we went through a lot of bad times as well but they get harder to remember [must be an age thing] LOL
