Hi, I work for an agency based just outside of London looking for a few guys to start on Scaffolding work in the next week or so.

SW London and one in HA postcode. £13 per hour.

Putting it in the right section might generate a tiny glimmer of interest, but going by previous comments made on here, I doubt it.
 
Is it £13 an hour for an 8 or 10 hour day?
For also, what grade of Scaffolder?

£13 an hour aint great, tbh... if your looking for Part 2 or Advanced, then you might wanna increase that rate to atleast £16 an hour. - More interest will be shown, if you offer a competitve rate.
 
More agency work, good luck everyone that wants to belittle themselves for that, you get 12.92 for most big companies as part 2, and all the fringe benefits, like bonus, paid holidays, further training, lodge, PPE, harnesses, what do agencies pay for, not even the going rate, bout time we fu*ked them off, they do nothing for us, only take advantage when things are quiet, and you are still are being used:weird:

the rate they are paying is **** for london,but as already stated dropped at a minutes notice and then theres the old i never received your time sheets so i cant pay you.agencys best avoided by all
 
I'll see about getting rate upped a bit..
However in response to the ridiculous "i never received your time sheets so i cant pay you.agencys best avoided by all" - does this idiot realise agencies get paid via these time sheets too?!?!?!?!?!?!? So if there's no timesheet from you, we don't get paid either.

Quite a stupid post.
 
I have in the past worked for agencys and had that speil relayed to me when i have in fact sent in timesheets,THE AGENCY GOT PAYED AND DIDNT PAY OUT.
this has happened time and time again to many lads.
as for idiot your the clown that posts on the main forum when there is a job vacancie section.

If you've been caught out that wasn't by my agency! As I said, we get paid off the timesheets you submit so how exactly the above happened to you is beyond me. How it's happened "time and time again to many lads" is a bit odd, do you not pursue it?

Not a rip off merchant at all, the role has been filled anyway.. Got 4 guys going down tomorrow. They'll all be paid the Friday after.

If an agency has done to you what you claim, what did you do about it? I'm intrigued.
 
once again boys, i'm amazed at all the agency jobs that get posted on the forum.!!...
WTF has and is happening to our industry.? when will it end.? thoughts please.
 
contacted my union and as i was self employed no rights really.
maybe there are a few bad apples in your game as there are in mine.
i wish you well anyway and to the lads going down to work for you.
no hard feelings eh:sad2;)
 
What is the problem? We have scaffolding and trades job all over our agency, don't really see how we're doing a lot wrong!

Yeah the big agencies are a bit worse, you're just a number on a database to them! We are a small agencies, specialising in trades and only have 12 guys here. Very small but doing okay..

Just don't understand people moaning about agencies offering them work, when they're on an internet forum at half nine on a Wednesday morning... ;-)
