nz low pay

hi guys, i am currently in talks with advanced scaffolding nz, if your thinking of making the move to nz, theres a couple of things to consider, the climate is like ours, and the money is £12.00 per hour other firms might pay more, good luck if you take the plunge

i have just been offered a contract with united scaffolding in new zealand,but it is only 11.oo pounds an hour................ how ***** is that..

Guys, it seems the rate of pay in NZ is clearly regarded as being low. Can you let us know what you all consider to be low, average and a high rate of pay so we can have some reference points.

If you're always converting back to pounds we doubt we'll ever match your rates in the UK, but if you're in NZ receiving NZ$ you can have a reasonable lifestyle starting on NZ$25. Please note that this is our starting point with a number of our scaffolders earning more per hour.

I lived in New Zealand for 4 yrs , and your forgetting to tell the lads how much higher it's costs in NZ like cars,cloths,child care(for those who take a family ) what you get for your money in NZ as to what you get for your money in UK is a big difference ,if you want the comforts of home it is a big cost as everything is imported .
 
child care costs in the uk,**** me it costs roughly £40 qiud a day for child care so can someone please PM me were the good deals are
my 2 bigger kids go to school and they want £1.95 for a kids meal.
the whole point of most people going is for a better way of life in which to bring up their kids.lets look at the drug situation this country is awash with drugs and has been for over 20 years.i would go as far as to dsay that cocaine and ecstacy is no longer really regarded as taking drugs it is now regarded as part and parcel of going for a pint.
I ASK ANYONE WITH A YOUNG FAMILY WHAT WILL IT BE LIKE IN ANOTHER 10 YEARS WHEN YOUR KID OF 8 IS GOING OUT ON THE TOWN.
i could go on about the once great britain and its treatment of its own but this is an open forum and anyone who has read any of my posts will know what i mean :cry:
