Scaffolders REquired for sites in Bognor Regis, Portsmouth and Southampton area

CISRS Scaffolder or Advanced required

Please call 01256 866000 and leave details and one of our Contract Managers will call back when they return to the office
 
hello to all fellow scaffs don,t touch these piss takers they rip you off by docking you every moment they can ,if your late by being stuck in traffic they dock you if you leave at 16.25 they dock you they have trackers on vans and they have a print out evry friday of your movements and pay you accordingly. They have work on saturdays but only pay 3/4 of shift if your lucky.They are slave drivers with no respect for there employees not matter who you are plus you are treated like a child if you speak up then sent futher away from your home as punishment.LEAVE WELL ALONE.

crowman ive heard similar things about this company, as you say leave well alone.

seems a bit harsh guys ..i always thought they had a reputation for being firm but fair, especially supervisor rob burlington, they always have plenty of work and although people moan they dont seem to wanna leave - lets face it eveyone likes to finish early just a shame when u get docked for doing it, just seems most of the youngsters who call themselves scaffolders dont like doin afull days work and never happy unless moaning...

lol- in some parts of the country that would be perceived as as good wage, perhaps with the economic downturn we ought to be glad to have a job -like most they pay by experiance, they supply you with a van and pay for the fuel. i think the trackers were put in because when you got 20+ vans on the road and guys taking the piss wiv the fuel for social and domestic you have no choice ..then it show'd the early finishes, they still put guys through the citb courses..that shows they invest in thereworkforce

no and never have lolo ..being in basingstoke have watched them grow from a brickwork only company and have quite a few experianced old school scaff mates who work for them, tried to poach spanners before lolo but like i said for all their moaning they wont leave.
 
you must work for them i think,getting docked for leaving five mins early its a joke
 
no honestly i dont- if anything i'm a bit of a thorn in there side, but try to think of it fom the other side... 60 scaffs all leaving early, = lots of unproductive worktime, but wage bills still wanting to be payed, so wheres it come from, most scaffs expect to be paid if they work overtime....so it has to work both ways, give and take,swings and roundabouts are fine on the smaller companys like mine but to someone this size means thousand in lot revenue over the course of a year
 
might be true mate , i have my own firm as well if the works done who gives a **** as long as its all said and done i have been in the game years my freind,
and you seem a lot younger than me i find them who do there time are just there to do the hours, mine do the work i happy there happy makes a happy firm try it and see.

sounds alittle condersending my friend,and a little insulting- been turning a spanner since81- having worked for many companies and feeling more like slave than a tradesperson i started my own company since 99- hoping to take all the best bits from the companies i had worked on.
as a medium size familiy run company with a healthy profit to turnover ratio, my mantra was no one works for me we all work together, but after years of having the pi.ss taken out of me, i have come to understand,that no matter wot u do for your staff and how good u think u treat them , there will always be people to slag u off and rip u off, and steal from you, guys who have worked with me for over 10 years are 100% reliable and trustworthy, but i find it increasingly difficult to find new staff of the same calibre, whilst offering both above average wages and training,

quoting ur "if the works done, who gives a ****" really saddens me, and makes me wonder to what standard - as its that attitude that makes our trade stagnant, and undervalued-giving the impresstion u have no pride in urself or ur workforce,all about cash my surname is the company name,not an impersonal Ltd company off the shelf,when things go wrong and such a company is spoken of in a negative way,`it is easy for the owner to disasociate himself from it,while counting all his money- not so easy if its ur surname so i would rather work with a workforce having a pride in there standard and being spoken on site in positive terms, :)

i am not going to stay here to row with you, as i said you have your way i have mine it works for me i happy i dont care to be honest about other problems or others names.i just cant be arse to be working for a big brother and i turned a spanner longer then you and work with guys who you know do a days work, but on sites thats a differant thing, now thats my last word, thanks for your time but i dont come here that much and cant play like others on computers
 
SP, that's just about a carbon copy of how I did it and what I do. In fact if you could just change your name I would have maybe asked if you fancied a pint.:eek:
