Saffolders needed for erecting temporary scaffolding. You will needs to have advanced ticket as has to sign off the works once completed.
This is a start for Monday and is paying £16 per hour worked it’s a temporary position but should last a few weeks.

Advanced can sign it off don't need inspection ticket ???
 
we were told that an advaced ticket can sign off but i dont think that they know what they are talking about the work is for a demo firm.

Advanced can sign it off just can't inspect it without basic or advanced inspection
 
A basic Scaff can sign off basic jobs can't he?
 
No because a site needs a scaffolder with an sssts or smsts just to run the job with adv certificate
 
So do u need a supervisors card as well as a advanced card 2 run a site, and a advanced inspection card 2 sign off advanced work, can a advanced scaff not jus run it and sign off inspections....
 
I run plenty of sites and do inspections with just an advanced card , never had any problems as of yet
 
Any job that has a drawing is only to be inspected by an individual that holds an advanced scaffold inspectors card, I've run plenty of jobs as well and came up against this problem with bovis,carillon and isg so had to do the 2 day course

And you have to do the basic then the advanced
Inspection. Thats the money spinner ???
 
just goes to show the confusion that has been created out there phil,its high time things were simplified when you get 6 or 7 diffrent answers to a question that should be bread and butter to answer.
 
Funny thing hey that some views are different from others when at the end of the day it's what the principle contractor wants that dictates what you need as I mentioned before
I was the black hat on site that put the men to work and done the hand overs but they changed the rules and I had to do the A.S.I course,didn't do the basic though straight on the advance
 
As a scaffolder you do not need to do your basic inspection ticket, can do your advance straight away, it's for the shirt and tie brigade. If your an advance scaffolder you can tag design jobs. Seeing as you can build designs jobs, the only thing that you can't inspect is your own jobs that you built, have to be inspected 7 days later by someone else, that can be another advance Scaff that didn't work on the job. Hope that makes some sort of sense.:unsure:

That is 100% incorrect, also.
 
CISRS and NASC deem CISRS Scaffolders and Advanced Scaffolders competent to inspect scaffold structures based upon the grade of card they hold. i.e. A CISRS Scaffolder can inspect Basic Structures Independents, towers birdcages etc (this list is not exhaustive) and an CISRS Advanced Scaffolder can inspect both Basic and more complex structures Hanging Scaffolds, temporary roofs, complex design work (this list is not exhaustive).
Scaffold Inspection Refresher training will be introduced by CISRS in 2012, both CISRS Scaffolder and Advanced card holders will be required to attend the refresher, prior to renewing their CISRS cards if they wish to remain eligible to inspect scaffolds in the future.
