youve got a cheack the rates you (dsl)were trying to dish out at the coulport job were abysmal as are all your rates
talk about the pot calling the kettle black:mad:

Good luck with the new start lads , out of interest what are the O/T rates ? If they are paying time and a half and double it might end up being a half decent gig for sweaty land !

podger its time and a half a think till twelve on sat double time every hour after and all day sunday hours , not 100 percent on that tho, stretchy did pat mention anythin about night shift to u a was in on fri n said it would proibs be that or back shift for the new starts

hey lads do the take labourers on any the jobs your talking about here?? Im despo here!!!

dont think so lab scaff unless u know one of the bosses he might do u a turn think theyve stopped takin men on foe govan now the boy has all the scaffs he needs

What Dooomf says is about right I think Podger.

A was in fri morn too Dooomf, from the way he was talking it seemed to me like the new starts would be goin on to the backshift or the nightshift. To go in tomorrow with all my cards and bank details so maybe find out more then.

Labscaff a mate of mine was trying to get in there labouring and has had no luck so far and he knows a few of the boses in there from Grangemouth so a dont think they'll take any less then a part 2 on

all the present day scaffs have only them selfs to blame regarding money,we no its not great but over the past ten yrs companies have realised that they will allways get people to work regardless and its snowballed and no one is doing anything about it,im retired now ,back when i started in the industry it was the scaffolders who held the upper hand, and companies would bend over backwards to accomadate any reasonable request, bearing in mind scaffs did not give a toss them days( no morgage)firms now no they will get people to do the work and divtate the rates, different breed of scaffolders now, lot more sense than we had in my day, better sense of responsibility.

Thanks lads, its torture trying to get in somewhere jst to be given that chance eh...I no you'll have yer mates & that first lads but if u here of anythin, you'd be helping me out!!!

brought up in the game by the old crew--morals before money, but they still got the money and the job done.
different breed nowadays, more yes men and crawling besterds.
i am working offshore and the amount of men begging for extra time when people Fought for the payed leave and payed holidays is a fecking joke.
the fact that there are thousands of scaffs who would bite your hand off for a trip but sitting in the house doesnt seem to come into it:mad:
rant over stick together and get the rates up,never mind "THE CURRENT CLIMATE ****"
