Description

This is a self employed vacancy. Self-employed people are responsible for paying their own National Insurance contributions and Tax. For information on how benefits are affected and whether entitlement may be lost, speak to a Jobcentre Plus Adviser. CISRS card is required. Experience of Hop Ups is essential. Duties include dismantling and erecting of scaffolding. Temporary position for 3 weeks, immediate start. The company has given an assurance that this vacancy enables workers to achieve a wage equivalent to the National Minimum Wage rate.

Wage - £13.00 PER HOUR
Hours - 39 HOURS PER WEEK, MONDAY TO FRIDAY, 7.30AM-4PM
Location - Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire AB15
Duration - Temporary
 
ive had to hold a few scaffs in my time
mostly so they dont fall due to recreational excesses,or hold them back from attacking someone and never even got the price of a pint for it so if someone is willing to pay £13 an hour i say we should congratulate them not slaughter them
come on lads please leave it out

What are you talking aboot, your talking like 13 an hour is a grate rate!!! Its a fare rate not the best but fare.... Its people like you that Fck every thing up bye slaging the trade off! Not every scaffolder is like that just 97% hahahaha and whats rang with standing up for urself and not taking any ****! Eres only so much a man can take.....

Thats a great rate for Aberdeen... usually **** payers from what I've seen on here...
 
Its not that great mate its self enployed so when u consider payin ur own tax and Ni and you dont get holiday pay ext.... It works out aboot a tenner a hour if that!!! so i dont think its that great! I work in aberdeen and am on 12 an hour on PAYE and i still think its **** wages for the work you do and i am looking for soming better... It will do for now as eres not alot going about... But self enployed 13 an hour av got to say no chance!!!
 
self employed or paye , doesnt matter u pay the same amount of tax but with sef employed u pay alot less national insurance, too many ***** up there own arse !!! 13 brick an hour for a few weeks or sit on the dole for a few weeks ??????? i know which one id choose

Well it depent on how low ur willing to go... And that is the problam in the trade peeps like you exepting sh ite Money And like av said in my post it a fare rate not a great one..... I would say go on the dole because if everybody stuck together then you would'ent have this problam with wages because thay would up the rate.... Like av said it a fare rate Not the best!
 
well go and start a strike in the whole of the uk then, because most scaffolding firms in uk only pay ***** money !!!! unfortunately not everybody can work on a power plant or gas terminal or even offshore for the good money !!!!!!! not evrybody can take a stand because its just not going to happen !! its just the way it is

Up the rate my ar5e they would just import more foreign labour and then the scaffolding rate would decrease not increase
 
£15 A HOUR UPWARDS FOR ABERDEEN. KEV's right it's the oil n gas capital of europe n there is a large power st and gas site close by. a adv scaff or good part 2 should not work for under £12 in aberdeen but i've got a wife n kids so a know y some guys do but it does keep wages low n plays into the bosses hands. all trades in aberdeen make good money so y should us scaff work for a tener an hour
 
this job is a robertsons job . they have nothing to do with oil or gas !!!! so what u mean all jobs in aberdeen including office jobs should be on £15hr because its the oil capital of europe !!!!! smart !!!

for onshore site and street work too many snownts in the through, all System Work = low returns for the troops...
 
if u read ma post a say no scaff should work for under £12 IN ABERDEEN A WAS TALKING ABOUT GOOD SCAFF'S FOR £15. U SEEM TO JUMP IN AT THE DEEP END PAL. U SEEM TO KNOW ABERDEEN SO MOST KNOW LOTS OF SCAFF'S ON GOOD MONEY. IF UR A PART 2 IN ABERDEEN AND ON LESS THAN £12 AN HOUR AT BE LOOKIN TO MOVE BUT THAT JUST ME

Ha ha garry a see your point but u guys were on more back in the 80's u know the bosses in aberdeen r havin a right giggle at us just now a stiill think 12 is low for adv scaff jj pays 13 for part 2

The house prices in aberdeen r sky high cos of the oil n gas so robertsons get there cut. The scaff comp gets it's big slice. All the other trades get paid and we get less. We r scaffs not slaves
 
ok big boy , no point going on about it !!! DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT IF IT BOTHERS U THIS MUCH !!!! exactly
 
a do mate a try to stick to the power st or st fergus or offshore but sometimes a do site work in aberdeen as a have kids to feed but a won't work for less than £12 an hour as an adv scaff mate. we r all in this together
