Price work midlands

Well what do you expect you daft tw@t? A debate is one thing, but when you resort to playground insults like that, you and and anyone else will get it back from me 'both barrels.'

If you really want to have a go at the labour market, then start at the very top. I'll say this again, its the big bucks contractors that are saving on holiday pay and creating this gap
and employment agencies are just filling in the gaps, whether good or bad ones. Its the big-boys that are the leeches.

I am not defending all agencies, but remember that firms can fleece just as much.
Especially what happened to me a fortnight before christmas.

Though I must admit, agencies advertising pricework is definitely a first for me.

This is another reason why the scaffs in this country should go on strike and start being just alittle bit militant, teachers do it nurses do it even the police do it but hard as nails scaffs (no guts).

fss is an agencey set up by scaffs. scaffs run it scaffs work for them i dont see a problem and herd good things about fss. so how does it work?


a recent agency says he take % from the scaffolder wage per hour

ffs sound like they charge the client for finding the scaffs to work for them now i dont know if this is a 1 off payment or a weekly payment but like the man has said you sort your rate out with the company simples
 
Anyone else growing tired of agency bashing on this forum. I know there are people that have had bad experiences with agencies but there are also people that have had good experiences with them and earned decent money and had a good run of work. The problem with this forum is you only hear of the bad experiences lads have had as everyone likes to moan yet forget the times the agencies have sourced labour for a firm and kept men off the dole. Yes I've used agency lads and about 70% of them labour have been work shy useless w@nkers that think they should get paid £18 an hour for 10 hours yet do 8 and then toss it off all day forgetting that the day before they was sat watching Jeremy Kyle because no other f&cker will employ them....... Just my opinion....
 
Not that long ago a gang of us spent over 3 years kept in regular work by 4 decent agencies, I had no complaints.
 
Two sides to every story. They serve a purpose for both workers and employers.
 
A couple of years ago I had a phone call asking if I wanted a start on a shutdown in Pembroke 12-16 weeks work they told me.
When I turned up for the induction there was a bloke from an employment agency there who explained we would be working for him not direct to the company.
At first we thought it was away of not paying us lodge or the rates would be lower but as it turned out we still got our lodge money and only paid 20% tax but obviously we had to pay our own stamp.
The bottom line is we were doing 6 x 10 days and bringing home a lot more than the guys on another firm also on the plant working 6 x 12 nights.

were have these jobs gone thow once over you got paid more as agencey to gover holiday pay etc but not any more sertanly not in our line of work i know our lasses job agencey will pay more than doubble for agency staff
so whats gone /going rong
 
They do appear now and then but don't need to be advertised as they can find men to fill them with a few phone calls. And the client usually tells the agency who they want to work for them.

No mention of scaffs in that artical, but as far as organising is concerned we are in the age of technology and its called the intrenet.

But as has been pointed out there is not enough guts in this game. By the way John you must be getting on if you can go remember that far back lol

To all on the forum, my appolgies for my rant yesterday with regards to FSS, i had a bad experience with an ageny in the past and shouldn't judge all.
 
Don't worry about it a lot of them (not all) deserve some grief.
