Been asked to try and help get a few blokes for a job staring in the next couple of weeks.

The job

The job is on the London/Kent Border. It’s planned for 10 weeks, but there will be 30 weeks work in total for this company at other sites. It’s industrial work, in what I don’t know yet.
It’s for an agency.

The pay

It’s 12 hours a day, 7 days a week and it pays £180 a shift. There is also £20 pound daily lodge allowance on the production of a receipt. (their rules)

What you need

A VALID safety passport. A valid CISRS card. PPE. A UTR number (again their rules).

If its for you.

e-mail your CV, a copy of your safety passport, UTR and card to london_scaff@hotmail.com and I’ll pass the details on.

What I will and won’t do.

I know the money is not great, works about about £1100 a week with your dig money. If your interested, e-mail me the details, If your not, bitch on here all you want about agency's, blue books etc. I’m not going to get into a slanging match. If it keeps 6 lads off the dole until something better comes along then so be it, the wage snobs can sit at home watching bargain hunt and Jezza Kyle

p.s If you need to ask what a UTR no is, you haven't got one, so aren't eligible to apply!

I like the cut of your jib young man. Tell it like it is. Anyone with a family and bills to pay would be a complete knob to turn their nose up at this. :amazed:
 
I would apply but do not like giving details to a third party gunslinger especially as you are using an alias

fully understand where your coming from mate. The reason I'm doing it like this as he want's me to run it for him and I want to know the blokes I've got are A) have all the stuff we need to get cracked on with the job and B) know what they are doing. but like I say, I respect what you are saying.
 
Is it 7x12 for the whole 10 weeks?
You'll be a bit fooked at the end.
 
Bit fooled at the end but have nice little bank account afterwards to enjoy fair play gunslinger ill send my cv to you tonight as I'm intrested times are hard in good old grimsby lol.

just to update the lads who applied, all the applications are being forwarded to the powers that be and the jobs due to start in 2 weeks. Thanks to anyone whose applied, it's out of my hands now.

Could you tell me what a UTR is, so I can apply.
 
Unique tax ref ,basically its basically your self employed,but be a bit carefull mate ,make sure you get the agencys name and address before you go for it and make sure its all alright cause which company in there right mind with have a hotmail account any tom **** and harry can have one and you cant trace them back really anyway good luck

If you read the thread properly, you'd see I'm not a company. The bloke who runs the company, who has really looked after me in the past, has asked me to help get some good lads for the job. The reason I haven't posted his details on here, is to stop him being bombarded with calls from people, who aren't really interested in the job, thought they'd ring up because they are bored, thought they'd ring up to say they wouldn't get out of bed for that money, pestering him.

Anyone who has ever had to recruit scaffolders, will know, these are common occurences. The reason I've asked for a UTR is to ensure people actually have one. You'd be surprised at the number of people who answer an advert saying "must have UTR no", contact you and when you ask for it say, "what's "this UTR thing?"

Anyone who has applied can rest assured their details will be treat with the strictest confidence and hopefully I can help point a few lads in the direction of some decent work for a few months.
 
Is that the guy who friend requested me on linked in ? Runs big agency in London also is a scaffolder himself not going to say a name as like you say not fair to be bombarded...

I had someone ask for a job when I was at Trad and they said they would only do brickies lifts or striking.

He took my job in the end :laugh:
