Wondering what the guidance is for the ground level sway brace. The guys I know insist it goes on the inside standards. To benefit pedestrians. Personally I don't do this and feel it may as well not be there if it's not on the outside. But that is only my opinion not saying I know it all. Can't find any info regarding this so thought I'd see if anyone knows anything. Cheers

Thanks. Can't find any mention of sway bracing though.

Looking at the pictures (yes I know!) I can't see away sway bracing before the first lift. Instead lots of plan bracing.

Yeah nothing in the writing either. Guess it's just one of those personal preference things. Was hoping for facts. Guess there isn't any.

Some info here:

We put ground level sway braces on the inside standards to make them less of a tempting route to the 1st lift for Friday and Saturday night heroes

That's a good point

I think it depends on how many people are walking by. Some setups focus more on keeping pedestrians safe, but if there’s no rule, it’s probably just what people prefer.
