Part 1 Scaffolder - Please Read!!!!

Hi there. So this whats going on. I have my part one and i have paid and sat through my part two course. Finishing my portfolio has proven to be extreamly hard because its tough going looking for work. I will work for FREE in exchange for different jobs being signed off in my folder. I have a car and im prepared to travel for these jobs. Thanks for taking the time to read this and please get back in touch.

Mate just make up jobs and get a mate with part 2 or above to sign it off
 
That's not the best advise now is it Andy...that's why there's so much **** in the trade now

no theres so much s!it in the trade cos cisrs get them through like sheep if this guy has to cheat then so it has to be good job theres a few on here to help him out if the course wernt such a fast i would of said different so iam with andy on this one
 
Unlike the **** cisrs pour out this kid is desperate to the point
That he will work for free
Shouldn't we help him ?
Rather than just let him be smothered by red tape and be left behind
By the muppets with tickets?

where r u based first off all? If u looking for work then i can give you some agency numbers, to sign your folder needs to be your contract manager. The best advise is you need to find a company to work for them and the manager will sign for you and as someone mentioned NEVER WORK FOR FREE BECAUSE THE SCAFFOLDING MONEY AND LIKE THAT ARE DOWN, WE DO NOT NEED ANYMORE PEOPLE TO F**K IT UP MUCH FURTHER.
 
It don't need to be a manager
Just a carded scaff who has observed you work on said jobs
 
Google it online, get the relevant information and then make the portfolio up mate everyone does it. Ive been scaffolding 18 years and just recently filled out my mates part 2 and some one else's advanced for them, its not realy that hard. You can even just copy some one else's. I think any qualified scaff can sign it off. They may have to take a phone call from the college but thats not a problem. Im saying I think any one can sign it, im an advanced scaff and ive signed both of those off.
 
You do have a portfolio for your part 2, loads of people I know are doing them!!!! Your advanced is just 2 sections. I've just helped my mates out by doing them so unless I've imagined it!!! Guess I better stay of the drink!!! As for me, done my advanced 10 years ago so :)me & college have parted company apart from advanced inspection, scaffold supervisor & a few other bits & bobs!!!
 
If you do g the EWPA route then you don't need a portfolio. They photo you at the assessment doing various jobs then you do a "proffesional discussion" and that is it. That how I done my Part 2.
 
What you have done is a bit like the old assessed route entry for people with experience, it's clear this guy is new to the trade so he won't have the experience. For him it's better to go to college.

Badrobot ur right mate any person with cisrs card can sign you off told than by cskills 2 weeks ago as long as they have seen you work within last 3 years
