alright lads does anyone know how to go about getting a pts card,im applying for jobs and there wanting 1, finding it hard enough to find work in london and alot of the good jobs im finding require them!
any help lads?
 
NTS Collier Row, Essex 01708 733 200 or ring up Fasttrack, Watford 0845 065 8888. They will get you your PTS sorted.
 
Do you know any where in the Midlands mate im interested too.
 
Google Amtrain railway training, I think they might be near you.
 
Try orian or skyblue for scotland they will sponsor you mate
 
At least 8000 scaffolders will be needed with PTS to cope with the rail investment programme over the next four or five years. You can go for the Medical and D&A on a Saturday and the PTS over a weekend a fortnight later so you dont lose any wages if you h ave to pay for it yourself now. The rates are usually good too.
 
Glad i got mine..not usd it 4 scaffolding purposes yet.comes in handy 4 the odd shift on the railway tho!!
 
not sure where they are done now did mine in chichester in 1998 probably expired now. 2day course simple to pass back then probably alot harder now
 
PTS course

The course is now 3 days, with all the station upgrades and bridge work it is a good time to get it.
 
When I did it there was no scaffolding questions at all. Just general track safety. I remember disputing question 1 with the examiner. What's the first thing you do when you get to a joB
 
That is still the case, there is no PTS specific to any construction trade, we are running a course in Glasgow on Saturday, Sunday and monday, the 12 candidates consist of 4 scaffolders, 2 electricians, 1 IRATA worker, 2 bricklayers, 1 site manager, 1 joiner and 1 plant operator
 
Medical and D and A is 139, three day PTS course is 348, both prices inc VAT. Nrothern Hub and elctrification between manchester and Leeds will keep you in work after you get it. Cheers
 
burns recieved an email about medical on 19th how soon is the course after this and is it in springwell gateshead thanks
 
Afternoon Neil, course will be at Springwell on 2nd, 3rd and 4th or 9th 10th and 11th of February, they will email address and tim eof appointment for Medical on Monday. Cheers

Hi burnspw,is it the same course for supervision?and what kind of money can supervisers expect?
 
Afternoon, it is the same course for anyone who wants to work beside live track Bigfish, electrician, plant operator, steel fixer etc etc, supervisors should be on at least 20 per hour, where are you based?
