Has any 1 worked on the village in London a couple ov my pals offered me a start and they reckon it's 1800 pound a week Ive heard bad things about that job and think it could a load ov bull it's 7 12 hour shifts

Hahahaha, what are you doing, robbing gear on site and selling it?

Depends what ticket you have but if you did 7 12's you'd probably only take a grand after tax anyways.

They are talking sh1te mate

Ye that's what I heard just got back from London and every Scaff there is trying to avoid the place

the job is total crap, was on there for 2 weeks for benchmark, they have sniffer dogs on main gate then 20 minutes walking down passed induction room, then biomatrix system, then another turnstile, then airport scanner, then another 5-10 minutes walk to changing room, then time you get onsite you go through a further 2 maybe 3 turnstiles, and its ****, i would rather do sweeping up on a normal building site £80 a day then scaffold there, STAY WELL CLEAR

No way would I work on that job I no tons of lads on it and there earning naff all
The whole job is run by ******* agys !!!!!!

Mate there's better jobs than that place out there lol

Drove past there at the weekend and noticed a lot of jobs going up on tower blocks in the Bow area opposite the Olympic site !

ur firm will have to book you in for induction . then youll have to have passport intervued by imergration . inland rev and security then you might get a pass . red cards for not wearing gloves glasses smoking and farting in wrong place that last ones a joke. take my word u dont wana go on that site def not nuttels site

i was talking to 2 lads yesterday who just been to the plympic village and said it was the worst job they ever had , they had to negotiate there wage so every scaff on site was on a different rate and they were getting less for there overtime than they were for normal hours .

Lol I work in that hell hole! And your right it is like that! Who is this?

I was a Foreman on there for a year on the 2nd lot of blocks, it was ok after you got used to the obnoxious security staff that brings to mind them old 2nd world war movies from Germany, if you get my gest. The way to look at jobs like the olympic site is "your there to make money" and that is all. If you can 1800 a week bite the bullet and go for it, don't take any notice of what others say, it's character building, and if you do make that type of or even 3/4 of it you win. good luck what ever you do.

Hey,it will always be a tale to tell the grand kids.
