Guys

I am looking for 6 scaffolders to go offshore on the 21st December until the 2nd/3rd January to dismantle shutdown scaffolds on the Dunlin. Normal OCA rates will apply but there will be 2 hours OT per night weather permitting.

Only scaffolders with previous offshore experiance and with CISRS min part 2, Mist, up to date medical and survival will be considered.

This is a one off trip and there are no guarantees that it will lead to more.

Can i ask you to please just submitt your CV and certs to me and i will pass onto my HR department.
They will contact you and confirm the rates etc if selected.
Preference will be given to ex BIS Salamis employees and persons with actual North Sea experiance.

Dont want to post the rates on here sorry.

6 scaffolders to go offshore on the 21st December....until the 2nd/3rd January, if you get off(weather permitting) and you might get asked to stay on and do a three week trip because Salamis insist that you don't have a life and then after the crimbo trip your bumped and fook all after that...using bestards at this time of year.....Have you got more work after the trip, for the guys that decide to take it.??

And the 2hrs ham at night...are you turning to after normal shift??

Please read the initial post.
I have been very clear from the outset that it would be only 1 trip with no guarantees and the dates are fixed for mob/demob as that is the only time we can get the beds.

Nowt wrong with this advert, if you don't fancy it.. don't apply for it... simples.. :D sounds a good job, if you wanna work over xmas... I think u would be a sad bastar.d to work these shifts, but theres nothing wrong with the offer...
 
I have posted on a few occasions this is the best way to get a kick in the door. At least they are being straight up about what's to follow but if you have been struggling for work after shelling out cash for courses then this is it.
 
In the future i would really like to work Offshore for the experience, more then anything.
This does sound like a good honest Thread for a change.
 
If you fancy it Jason you will probably do it at some point but I would say be careful of what you wish for, far away birds have pretty feathers and all that. You are already doing the same type of work except out there you are doing it on some rust bucket with no respite.
 
hey mate am a part 2 scaffiolder with survival, medical, mist n keen to learn! only problem is av never been offshore before but a dno how a would get experience if never given the chance!
 
I agree Aaron mate.
Some of the best Scaffolders that can do Hangers and Trussouts with their eyes closed might never have been Offshore in their lives, i think: give them the chance to show you what they can do.
 
yeh exactly mate!am no superstar av done 2bridges for hangers bt am very keen to learn n gain as much experience as a possibly can. a wana change from the streets n am all set to go offshore so fingers crossed
 
Theres only so much the CITB can teach you on your courses.
The rest MUST be learned with on-site, hands on experience.

I cant see or understand these jobs where they say: "Experience is a must!"... if thats so, then sooner or later the 'experienced' Offshore blokes will all retire and there will be no one left to carry on the Offshore work.


Being Keen and Willing, in my opinion can be just as valuable in a worker as being Experienced. :)
