I have been at my current firm for nearly two years and should complete my apprenticeship in the next three-four month ( i am part 1) but its come to a point where i dont wanna go to work in the morning as i cannot put up with my supervisor moaning and picking little faults, i feel ive progressed with my skills but its as though he doesnt trust me n my work. i cant handle any more. any advice much appreciated. thanks.

Pull yourself together man and complete your training.

The grass is always greener on the other side....

Thats the thing i want to but i dont cum to work to be spoke to like a dog. ive heard u can carry on with trainin but differant firm???

Steve are you on a proper government apprenticeship ?

if you are then talk to your training provider as they may well be able to find you another placement , i no if you get layed of they will try their hardest to find you another placement
as they loose money if you dont qualify .

I have had a good few lads go through it and they all had a supervisor that used to check on them on site to make sure they where ok .
Thats the man to talk to.

Or maybe you could talk to your training provider , trouble is if you rock the boat to much you might fall out , might be better to just get your nut down and get your ticket then fu ck of . Make sure you check your contract with your employer first though as it might well state that you have to pay for all your training in full if you leave before a year of getting your tickt.

If you leave and finish your apprenticeship with another firm, the new firm get the qaulification grant at the end, which is a few bob,so mention to your boss that your thinking of leaving, but be prepared to leave if he says see ya,he should try and keep you to get the grant, thus giving you a chance to get the superviser off your back;)

get your head up and dont stop grafting until you've taken your supervisors job, then have a hamlet and SMILE......

No matter where you go mate you'll find some priick who'll bug you. Every firm has one, some firms have fukcing loads!!!
Man up & ask him what his problem with you is. If he thinks you've gone telling tales behind his back it could become even worse.
Thick skin & an occasional deaf ear are 2 essentials for this game fella. Good luck.

I have had bosses like that all my life, either put up with it and finish your apprenticeship in the next 3/4 months, tell them your leaving and going elsewhere to finish off, or take the supervisor round the back of the building and kick fook out of him, but remember if you get the push and end up with no job at all [and its hard getting another one in this climate] its going to cast a big black shadow on your work record.
