Had a call yesterday from a company looking for a scaffold manager on a LNG storage tank project in New Territories outside Hong Kong.
2 years work starting in November 500 pound a day.
I am too busy finishing the house but if any managers are interested PM me and I will give the contact number.

Spoke to the guy yesterday, he told me rate was anything from 450uk Pounds to 600uk per day, 6 X 10hr shifts per week, 8 weeks on 2 weeks off or 10 & 2, rates and rotation would be discussed during interview. Good luck to whoever has applied.

Probably not mate. They want an experienced manager with LNG project experience preferably on tank construction and who has experience of managing Chinese workers.

Had quite a few enquiries. Obviously didnt reply to people who cant follow a simple request and send a personal message. Some people who sent me a personal message have received contact details, this was because I know that they have managerial experience in a similar role. My reasoning behind this is because I didnt want my contact to be inundated with applications from unqualified or inexperienced people. Sorry if I missed anyone out in error but if you have been in management you will know that sometimes you have to make difficult and sometimes unpopular decisions. It goes with the territory.

Very true Havespannerwilltravel, I myself sent the contact information out to the few that PM me, as the post say, you must be fully experienced in Management, this would include,

Reporting to the regional senior project Manager.
Support overall administration, technical guidance and leadership in complying, interpreting and implementing all regulatory and contract requirements including health, safety and environmental issues.
Assists in the development, implementation and control of critical processes and project control documents outlined in the Project Execution Plan (PEP).
Ensures HSE/Q policies and procedures are followed.

This is just a few of the daily requirements for a manager, as I hope you can see this is not a supervisor position running 5 or 6 teams of scaffs and doing a few time sheets and TBT.

Best of luck all who have submitted their CV.

PS: If anyone hears anything please update this post.

Apparently it is 13 weeks on and 1 week off. Which wouldnt leave much time for UK based guys.

Yes would like the chance to apply if your ok giving the details.
