Supply and demand and all that, but they have to go to an agency, coz there own blokes won't leave the family and kids on these days...

would have wanted £500 for each day 13 years ago..... suggest you get the details and phone direct if you are that desperate, granted you will never work for the agency again but hey, likelyhood of that happening anyway...

Net result, more money....

13yrs ago, that's when scaffs stuck together an wouldn't work Xmas and boxing for monkeys that paid peanuts...!!

Agreed, but just a thought.....

I'm certain that they guy on the hanger with me or cantilever 100 ft + will back me / back each other and band together for a common cause...

Never the same experience when I go house" bashing" and offer to work until soaked through with no break for a days a pay, but maybe go home 1- 2 hours early for a full days pay... Less skilled men, would prefer to go home, having got out of bed for juts 1 or 2 hours pay, even though on the cards they are entitled to 8 hours wet money... ( basic rate)

Not saying you would do that mate, just pointing out the difference.

totally agree, me and me old mate fella ave had many a day working in the above, get wet, get the job done with no breaks and off for a few on the high stool.....

Better then they are paying at HMP London Bridge... worst over Christmas rate ive seen is being offered there... and its PAYE!! Oh well, cant expect anymore from Palmers.
Is this why You are working for tone over xmass Jason?
If You are employed by palmers are u as an agency temp at farringdon?
How does it affect PTS sponsorship and company insurance?
You are at Farringdon then?

I no longer work for Palmers at London Bridge.
The jobs shiit and the management on nights are c.unts.
Hated every single minute of it and im glad im no longer there...

Ill be at Farringdon for TONES this Christmas. :)
Much better then HMP London Bridge.

I turned that Xmas day and boxing day inspection job down Jason, first Xmas with the wife proper and she said 600 quid wasn't enough to be away from her lol.

Thats fair enough Chris mate.
I usually never work on Christmas/Boxing Day, but need the money this year, lol.

Got into a bit of an expensive and really addictive habit.
Cooking! lol. Food is pukka, but costing me a fortune in fresh ingradiants! lol.
Only thing is, ive been eating so much garlic, i smell like a pa.ki. :D

Love cooking myself, had a lesson at Jamie Oliver's in Clapham junction 2 weeks ago, booked another for 29th Dec Its getting expensive an all.

Back in the day it was COKE that used to murder my bank.
Now its COOK, lol.

Ill be doing my Advanced Scaffolders Inspection Ticket next year sometime.
Handy little string to the bow. :)

whats so bad about this london bridge Jason , ive heard a few people saying this now.

into the cooking myself , ive had that much spare time , making a mean Chicken Tikka Masala

London Bridge should have been the ultimate job.
But the management (mostly on nights) have turned the job into a nightmare. They couldnt run it worse if they tried.

EVERYONE and i mean EVERYONE on that job absolutely hates it on there...
Worse job ive been on ever. And thats no exaggeration.
Just thinking about the place makes me sick.

Anyway.
Cooking... cant beat it, lol.
Cooked a stir-fry today, all from fresh and it was BOOOOOTIFUL. :)

Got to agree with Jason there, bad day when am saying the best paying job av ever had is the worst job av ever had, supervisors not got a clue and seemed like they were all trying to get one over on each other, constantly told to look busy when no one can give you a job to do

ok , like i say a few people have told me this , thought about goin down next year to get in london and do that qatada c.unt LOL, maybe not bother now.

think its Chick Tikka and 12 red stripes for xmas dinner , sounds good.
