Looking for work in Dubai

Can't beat the Middle East banter on here!!

Good luck though, and there are a select few on here who will help with lots of info and advice.

Just make sure you get a decent package with accommodation and health care if possible, a decent standard of housing can be expensive so you'd at least like that covered. We all want a villa with a pool you know!

There's lots of work coming off in KSA too......although lifestyle isn't as good socially......no Friday brunch's there I'm afraid.

I do not sort Visas. That's the job of Sheik Zayed.

He has long gone mate. Just memories and the road from Dubai to Abu Dhabi remain. Although apparently it is the longest straight road in the world??

To be honest you must get a package with accomodation, transport, health insurance, flights, utilities paid as a definite. If married you also require married status and private education for your children.
A pool is a must. Luckily most places have pools although sometimes you have to share!

One of the "few" HSWT cheers for filling the blanks!

The more you know before venturing there reduced the chances of ending up with a Sh&t deal

Hi,

I'm looking to move out to Dubai within the next 5/6 weeks.

I've been saffolding for the last 7 years with some of London's biggest & best companies & have my advanced booked for the 7th of May so am pretty much ready to leave the UK as soon as I have that.

I also have a layher system ticket & PTS.

Any help or contacts anyone can give me would be much appreciated!

Cheers lads!

Good luck in your search mate, but speaking from experience unless you get an offer before you fly, you will only be allowed to stay for 30 days on a visit visa, as i did use this time to do some legwork cold calling with copys of your CV. If you then get a result, you will have to return to u.k while said company sorts your visa, medical, accommodation etc. And as the guys say its a full package your looking for, flights, vehicle , accommodation .
Hope this helps.

Just hop over the border every 30 days and back in again. This happens a lot and stil does as far as i know. I have numerous friends who live out there.

Obviously the Omani border. The Saudi border is impossible. You can always fly out to Bahrain. Remember working on a tourist visa is a serious offence and the punishment can be as bad as beheading, being stoned to death, having a limb amputated or at the very least a public flogging. or sometimes the lot.:D
