Mitchells received and childish comments made as you know came after a pitiful amount of money was offered. The SF faithful responce was to be expected.
Only a few weeks ago,Mitchells posted a thread saying they had won top business awards.
Congratulatory tributes were made by the same forum.
You looked at the wonderful business Mitchells have built. Of course,this wouldnt be possible without employing highly skilled contientous men,who by the way,put their lives at risk working the oracle at great heights,everyday. To provide a safe working platform for others to work on safely. The skill and experience required,not appreciated by such as you and building companies who are forever turning these men over for greater profit to themselves. How long have you been in the building game? 40 years!! Advising companies on health and saftey, Have a Fu.king word. If they didnt continually screw the prices down,for profit. People woudnt take risks and shortcuts to earn a meagre living. Putting their own health and saftey at risk:sick:Course thats good business aint it!!
£7.50 per hour,with a driving licence..Ide like to know if you would work for that?? :mad: Wages for children methinks
 
This might seem a bit childish mr pullman,but are you playing at hide and seek.
If mitchells wwere that good an employer they would at least have the deceancy to take their "employees" through the books so they can atleast get the benefits of payed holidays,bank holidays and basic workers rights.
Not binned at the drop of a hat when theres a wee run down in the work,or hung out to dry if theres ever an incident on site which the scaffolding contractor will wash his hands of and blame it on the self employed man.
Just look up the thread about the young lad sean holland(i may be wrong on the name)self employed scaffolding labourer now deceased god rest his soul
 
I sincerely hope all you guys are in work for a long time to come and one day maybe manage or even own your own company, it will be then that you will learn just how hard it is to pull in contracts and keep your men busy and pay the bills, in the cities and major towns construction companies pay more, I wont push the point but we all have choices as to where we work and I come across this situation everywhere of pay differences.
I have a lot of understanding of how hard it is to run a company and be successful so good luck to Mitchell's and all companies striving to keep their heads above the water in this climate, lets all hope for better times.
 
better than marine scaffolding wages scaffs on 8.00 per hour then they pay you off and keep ya week lyin on

Proper ***** outfit lads did a stint a few years ago when they first started up, the money was better then. i know the guy who owns it well not as a mate just worked on a job in manchester with him and his brother for lydons. I can tell you now they want there pound of flesh, also he fucked his dad off when i was there who was a sound bloke and his brother who both were getting treat like *****.You wont get men with the atitude he has got, well lads who can twirl the spanner. wise up mitchels 12-13 quid an hour for a part two on cis, lads in blackburn who i know laugh when you say they are looking for men cause there a fuckin joke.
 
you have to be one stupid mug to work for that wage, if you did you deserve what, you get mugged of.but there not the only firm agencys rip scaffs of as well as direct labour.
 
Sadley,Right now lads,men will work for that wage,because their choice is.. NO CHOICE.
Unfortunately thats right across the board at the moment.
 
thats so true my freind, but for that money id myself would rather pick up **** then give me skill to them,
