i done my part1 a few years back and only got a month or 2 work out of it...........ive recentley just renenewed my card and my safety cards again ive jus rang more or less every company in the yellow pages askin to take me on as a trainee best i got was a few half hearted send ya cv in and see what comes up i cant really apply for these aggency jobs and travel because i dont no what im doin enuff to be left to graft on my own does any 1 no of any firms that would possibley take me on so i could get a bit of experince behind me in stockton/middlesbrough/redcar/hartlepool area.................or am i jus best of given up on scaffolding is it on its arse?
 
alright there kidda im a part 1 and been out ov work for 8 mounths kid listen man dont giv up keep go'n lad sumthink will turn up kid and as fare as working on your own just get stuck in ive never work'd on my own just go for it kid if ur unshure ask man im shure alot ov these scaffs on hear startd out the way we did mate everybody got to learn sum how
 
cheers mate, its hard in it..........because av already renewed ma part1 once i av 16months to get ma part 2 done or i have to pay for ma part1 again so its **** or bust now really im just goin to send cvs n a coverin letter out is ma next plan.............surely someone will give me a break ha
 
i got given a number for cape a 0844 number the recruitment number but they was no answer gunna try again 2morrow with that one i must av tryed 30 difrent companys haha
 
Hutchy, loads of guys looking for work, try not to get downhearted.
I worked in London early last year with a young Welsh guy, who worked like a Trojan. He told me he finally after ringing nearly 90 companies, that he got a start. Admittedly he moved down to London and was living in youth hostels etc. But on the site he was well thought of by the Scaffolder foreman and was offered all the overtime he wanted.

just phoned them there they said the jobs been took n took my details n then wen she asked for refrences cos i didnt have none she said she doesnt think theyll be able to give me work....................i need someone to give me a break and let me get some experience

are you not working at the minuete teeside scaff u not fancy gettin a part1 along to show the ropes eh ?
 
tryed it yday he said send cv in ya never no whats round the corner said he done apprenticeships for people under 21 unfortunatley im 23.................im jus goin to get help with a coverin letter this afternoon get a decent one put togever and send that and ma cv along to every company i can find
