The Client
Digby Morris' client has developed into a leading EPC Turnkey Contractor in Power Projects including Co-generation, CCGT and Steam Power Plants. They offer full-scale and integrated capabilities in Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Fabrication, and Start-up & Commissioning. They have a work force totalling over 15,000 and operate in the Middle East, Gulf, and North Africa and are a world leader in Power and Water projects as Developer and Contractor working in alongside renowned international Engineering, Construction and Manufacturing Firms.
Responsibilities
* Ensure the implementation of a correct Safety Policy. Ensuring a "duty of care" to all employees within the Scaffold division.
* Provide technical support to Projects Management in regards scaffolding packages required.
* Assisting procurement department in regards specification for materials and purchases.
* Recommend to my superiors training needs for personnel.
* Ensure all personnel within his remit have received approved & documented training.
* Manage personnel training records.
* Create Rental rates for scaffolding department to ensure return in a correct timescale.
* Receive and action all Scaffold requests from Projects.
* Prepare scaffold packages for all requests.
* Ensure scaffold provided is sourced from the agreed suppliers at the correct financial rate.
* Manage scaffold lay down yard.
* Manage scaffolding stock.
* Manage scaffold delivery to site.
* Manage scaffold return from site.
* Provide scaffold refurbishment service within division.
* Ensure housekeeping & Safety standards are maintained.
* Safety Policy within his sphere of operations.
* Conduct performance appraisals of staff within their remit.
* Provide recommendations for new scaffold purchase if required to directors.
* Liaise with Project Coordinators to ensure scaffold is scheduled, delivered and installed as per company procedure.
* Provide recommendations to directors for selling or scrapping scaffold.
