Got a call from interserve to start Tuesday

Can't take the job now due to cskills not sending my card anyone not working with there card phone glen at inter serve blaydon :mad: why do cskills take so long to produce and send out cards,

You should have got a cover letter from the training centre stating that you had completed the course, any employer woul accept that as proof, can be checked by a phone call.
 
Brandy a sent it off 3weeks ago,sent the cover letter by accident with all the relevant certificates,part1&2 phoned them a week ago thurs but still not got me card,it's not interserve that won't accept me copy it's the site agent on site,so it's a no go
 
Sorry to hear that Chris, the site agent seems a bit of a stickler. The reason the cards take so long is, they wait till they have a batch and then send them off to be printed, cheaper for them, but not for the scaffs if you get a site agent that wont accept proof such as a cover letter.
 
That's the way things are going with most of the sites the want us to have all the cards tickets to hand when you get inducted thought a would let someone out of work with the cards looking for a start take the job tel 0191 4142481 ask for glen....
 
Tell the Gaffer to ring,CISRS for card verification, you are doing them a favour by offering your qualified expertise, in erecting a safe Scaffolld structure.

If they dont like it 'Feck them' times are a changing.........CITB, ECITB and CISRS, cards they are all 'Cash Cows'. Funding has stopped, so jump ship, springs to mind.

SCCR is the way forward.
 
Had the same problem with my CISRS inspection card, completed all the training sent all the certs & then no card so no job, call the help line at Bircham Newton the girl was great she phoned the agent & told him my card was being processed but still no job, 2 days later card came but missed out on the job.
What is the way forward?? Cards should be issued within one week of completing training course (we pay good money for the training so why should we have to wait)
 
as paddy said a simple call to bircham to confirm your card details is all the fickle site agent has to do,best of luck mate.
 
They have there royals that get paid above others ie you will get about £11 a hour for 8hours and they are getting £100+ for same work ?
