you just know youll be there with no paid mandatory break

advice needed erecting a job today on a private dwelling ready for putting the 4th lift on gable end and found a kestrels nest in a weephole with 5 chicks in it and have been told that it would be breaking the law to carry on in case it disturbs or distresses the bird and its young obviousley we now have to drill just below where the nest is and then there will be another 2 lifts to put on just wondering if anyone else as come across anything like this before and how would i stand if we carry on and the bird abandons the nest

i got a twelveball if you need it!
seriously personally i would stop you can get in a whole heap of **** if you disturb the nest the rspca epa would have a field day jumping your ass into the ground
See site manager or the client if privatly owned tell the owner, these birds could have been there for years and would possibly be noted as part of a family by some twitcher watching you scaffold. Good luck

Still a common bird-of-prey in most areas of the UK, but the breeding population has suffered a decline of 25-49% in the last 25 years

It is therefore a UK amber list bird species, and is protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (as amended)

Ragscaff

it is frowned upon to disturb nests so i would stop.

we had to stop dismantling a bridge for 6 weeks due to a nest with chicks, 6 weeks extra hire,;)

how the fukc did that happen? wrong thread,
