Finding an Apprenticeship

I just found calling every company onm yell.com with in my county helped me a great deal. Just make sure when you do get a start not to burn any bridges or piss them off.

Alright so as the title says I could do with some help finding myself a company willing to take me on, I am in Middlesbrough and have never done scaffolding before. I know the obvious things like to look for advertisements (of which I have found none) and post your CV + cover letter to all companys in my area but I just wondered if there are any other tips you could give me as people in the profession you have probably seen this type of thing often!

Any help I'll gladly take on board!

hi clarke, you sound like youve got the right attitude pal keep plugging away, ive bin a scaffs labourer on paper fir 5 years now bin on the tools three out of that 5, just paid for the ticket myself, my best tip to you is leave the ego at the door and youll be fine! you will be tested tho! ive had a few setbacks in geting the ticket but almost haf a scaff (part 1) not a lot really but the sense of achievement is priceless alone! you need thick skin in this game... especially around the shoulder area! good luck nice to see the young team doing something positive! nothing id rather be doing to be honest mate :D
