they are getting lads up there for an iduction then ******* them off ,my mate just had a call
 
They where after loads of scaffs just back end of last week.

Additional 30 Scaffolders wanted for shutdown in Scunthorpe

Harsco Infrastructure Services has giving a requirement to Vital Resources for an additional 30 Scaffolders across all grades to start on TATA Steelworks in Scunthorpe.

Job Details

Client: Harsco Infrastructure Services Ltd.
Location: Tata Steelworks, Brigg Road, Scunthorpe, DN16 1XA.
Duration: Minimum of 3 weeks but could be up to 6 weeks.
Hours: You would get between 12 hours per day over 7 days per week.
Inductions: Induction on 31st July.
Start: Starts would be either the 1st August and 5th August.
Requirements: Everyone will need a current CCNSG safety passport, a current CISRS card and own basic personal protective equipment (PPE).
Lodge: Will not be paid

Rates

Advanced Scaffolders
First 8 Hours Per Day Monday to Friday = £15.10 Per Hour.
After 8 Hours Per Day Monday to Friday and first 8 Hours Saturday = £19.18 Per Hour.
After 8 Hours Saturday and All day Sunday and Bank Holidays = £24.92 Per Hour.

Part 2 Scaffolders
First 8 Hours Per Day Monday to Friday = £14.49 Per Hour.
After 8 Hours Per Day Monday to Friday and first 8 Hours Saturday = £18.40 Per Hour.
After 8 Hours Saturday and All day Sunday and Bank Holidays = £23.91 Per Hour.

Part 1 Scaffolders
First 8 Hours Per Day Monday to Friday = £13.79 Per Hour.
After 8 Hours Per Day Monday to Friday and first 8 Hours Saturday = £17.51 Per Hour.
After 8 Hours Saturday and All day Sunday and Bank Holidays = £22.75 Per Hour.

To be honest I’ve had 5weeks so far & guaranteed another 2 weeks. Got a 9 day stop period 9 * 12 hour shifts. This is through Vital. All ways paid on time and correct (still writing down my hours on this stop period thou lol).
 
Sorry guys ive never worked on this type of industrial can u explain what is this term stop period & the differnt shift pattern ...many thx
 
stop period = shut down. shift patterns 9 days * 12h shifts days or nights.
 
U stop for 9 days or the plant does?
& r u saying u have 2 work 12hrs for 9 days solid ....FFS REALLY...how many days do u get off b4 the next shift starts?
No wonder u commercial boys are allways moaning about street rates lol

Not enough hrs in the day or night on shutdown work, greedy lads like me self will work 7 twelves for aa many wks as possible.!!
 
3 days of solid graft doing the boiler, then 2 months on 12 hr days standing around boring anyone who will listen to tears about how hard it is. Try grafting for a paddy firm, that's real collar!

when the paddys can feck off the paddys for pakis albanians etc it tells me they aint worth a waank but its horses for courses and each to their own;)
 
Wouldn't touch brogans with a barge pole, but always been treat very well on the civils side by both harringtons and mcgees. Decent scaffs seem to carry a bit of weight and when they find one, they tend to look after them. Stay away from cidon and MPB though - total shower of ****!
